We are proud to announce that the chapter is going to be adding a tenth group that will be focused on the Aiken area (McCormick, Edgefield, Aiken, Barnwell and Bamberg counties). We've had a great response from a letter we sent to members past and present in the area, and, as a result, we have scheduled an initial organizational meeting to take place on Monday, June 28 at the:
Municipal Building Conference Center at 214 Park Avenue SW, Aiken SC 29801

We will start about 6:30pm and light refreshments will be served.
The meeting will be presided over by current statewide Chapter Chair, Susan Corbett and our Chapter Coordinator, Kurt Henning. Together, we’ll facilitate the discussion and distribute information about how Sierra Club groups get started, and how they are run.
We hope you will attend. You are welcome to bring anyone else who might be interested in working on issues in the greater Aiken area . . . they can always join the club online at our website.
