Foothills Group Meeting
The Foothills Group of the South Carolina Sierra Club is proud to announce that Dr. Bill Stringer, President-emeritus of the South Carolina Native Plant Society and Associate Professor Emeritus of Agronomy at Clemson University, will be speaking at its next meeting on September 6, 2011.

The Group meets at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship - 226 Pendleton Road, Clemson, South Carolina 29631.
Dr. Stringer is a founding member of the South Carolina Native Plant Society; he is a leader in conservation of native plants through plant rescues, botanical surveys, seed collection field trips, and lectures. His research interests include evaluation of native herbaceous species, propagation & seed production of native species and restoration of native plant communities.
Check out his publication contributions in Life at the Water’s Edge, available through Clemson University, and in A Rain Garden Manual for South Carolina.
Come join us to hear Bill’s Sierra Club talk on September 6, 2011 to learn more about our native grasses, which can be found in full bloom along our highways as we travel throughout the state this fall.
