The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has scheduled two meetings for Thursday, May 24, to discuss the safety performance in 2011 of SCE&G’s V.C. Summer nuclear station and to explain the inspections and oversight process for the two new units being built near Jenkinsville, South Carolina, about 26 miles northwest of Columbia.
