Coal Combustion Residues (CCR) - Public Hearing

The EPA hearing is right around the corner: September 14, 2010 and the Sierra Club REALLY needs to make a presence at the hearing.  If we truly want to crack down on coal fired power plants, regulating the toxic coal ash is a step in the right direction.  With leaking coal ash ponds in several areas of South Carolina, we hope that several members from around the state will join us in attending the meeting.

Please call or email the office to make arrangements to travel to Charlotte.

In order for you to make public comments on September 14, the EPA requires that you must register here prior to the meeting.  Written comments will be taken through September 29th.
